This Auction is for a Unique, One of a Kind Lot of Boxing Memorabilia from the 1930's . It is hard to fit this into a standard category. This collection came from the Estate of Philip Caporale, a prominent civic figure, of Springfield Massachusetts, back in the early and mid 1900's. First: T is a Jack Dempsey Restaurant, Signature Post Card that is Autographed by Jack Dempsey who was Boxing's Heavy Weight Champion from 1919 to 1926. Second: T is a Collection of an event involving Boxing's Heavy Weight Champ Jim Braddock. Thee Jim Braddock that Russell Crowe portrayed in the movie "Cinderalla Man". It is a personal photo from when Phil Caporale was at Miami Beach on January 29th 1936 and Jim Braddock posed for a picture with him. It was big news in Springfield MA and the picture appeared in the Springfield Daily News with a brief article, which is also included. Also included is a letter from an editor of the newspaper sharing his envy of not being able to be t with the Champ. The most unique item of this lot is the Original Photo Negative of the Picture. This is Truly a One Of A Kind Collection that any fan of the Golden age of boxing must have. The Jack Dempsey autograph is real.
