For your comics library: Jack Kirby’s Heroes and Villains , a reproduction of a sketchbook Kirby put together in the mid-1970s as a Valentine’s gift for his wife. This is a first printing of the hardcover 1 st edition published in 1987 by Pure Imagination; the book is bound in black buckram, with the title embossed in blind on the front cover; the pages are unnumbered, but approximately 125 pencil drawings have been reproduced; there is an Introduction by Jim Steranko; this book was issued without a dust jacket. This is number 327 of 1000 numbered copies with a label signed by Kirby affixed to the front free endpaper . (Please note: I’ve read that only 333 copies were actually bound up, and that the remainder of the print run was destroyed; but I’ve also seen copies offered for sale with limitation numbers as high as #406; so, if fewer than 1000 copies exist, the actual number is still in question.) The head of the spine has been bumped, and there is attendant wrinkling on upper edge of the front cover; otherwise, this is a clean and fresh, Very Fine copy; it will be packed carefully and shipped via insured US Media Mail. Thanks for looking.
