Have had three months of sickness for all hands on the Snark . Have been sick myself, have had to doctor all the others, have had to navigate the Snark , write stories and articles ---- and now am on way to Sydney to go into hospital --- operation so this will explain why I have not been writing letters these days. The only letter I have received from you is your 4 line one, dated June 3, 08, in which you say you are starting for Washington, New York and Boston. Why for this journey. I've got to close, Charmain (London's wife) joins me in sending love. Jack London Letter was written on board the ship Snark which later was the name of his book "The Cruise of the Snark ". Letter and photo of London's are matted and framed in a walnut burl finish moulding. Overall size 22" X 18". Jack London Jack London (January 12, 1876 -- November 22, 1916), was an American author who wrote "The Call of the Wild" and over fifty other books. A pioneer in the then-burgeoning world of commercial magazine fiction, he was one of the first Americans to make a huge financial success from writing. LARGER.
