Jackie Presser, American labor leader, General President of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Warehousemen & Helpers of America, 3X5 card with 2 staple holes, his signature entirely on the attached 3c Labor Day stamp, transmittal letter with small edge faults dated May 7, 1984 on the Union's letterhead accompanies, signed "Jackie Presser/m" by a secretary. Jackie Presser (August 6, 1926 – July 9, 1988) was an American labor leader and president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters from 1983 until his death in 1988. He was closely connected to organized crime , and allegedly became president of the Teamsters based on the approval and support of the Cleveland Mafia. From 1972 until his death, he was also an informant for the Federal Bureau of Investigation concerning Mafia influence in the Teamsters union. This item is from the collection originally formed over a 50 year period by Dr. Sam Loebenstein of Kansas City , Missouri and continued by his grandson, Michael J.
