Very Rare Late " 1940's " Jacobs 26 Coca Cola Vending Machine This auction is for a Very Nice Late " 1940's " Jacobs 26 Coca Cola Vending Machine . The " Jacobs 26 " is considered by Professional Collectors .... to be one of a very select few ... " True Investment Grade Vending Machines " ... and as such is one of the most sought after and most desired Vintage Coca Cola Vending Machines ... ever produced !!! Manufactured in the late 1940's by the F.L. Jacobs Company of Indianapolis , Indiana ... it is often called the " Mailbox " machine due to it's striking resemblance to an old mailbox . This very rare and unique machine dispenses small " Classic " bottles of Coca Cola from the side of the machine ... not the front door ... like most other stand-up vending machines . Very , very neat !!! It vends 26 bottles from it's lightweight aluminum drum ... with precool capacity for an additional 40 bottles . The " Jacobs 26 " vends an " Ice Cold " Bottle of Coca Cola for " 5 Cents " . " Indiana State Museum " A " Jacobs 26 " Coca Cola Vending Machine is on display and part of the collection of the Indiana State Museum - go to - www.in.gov/ism/Newsroom/ALookattheCollection/loc_consrv.aspx This is one Very Special Machine !!! Rare Opportunity " ... to own this very, very rare piece of Coca Cola Vending Machine History !!! Condition The machine has been partially restored with recent new paint . Both fan motors are working motors . Might need refrigerant recharge .What you see in the photos is what you get . This is a very nice machine that only needs a little TLC to turn it into a very , very nice showroom piece. Dimensions - 54" High x 26" Wide x 19" Deep Weight - Approximately 200 lbs. This machine runs on regular 120 Volts AC The Jacobs 26 Machine was manufactured in the late 1940's - possibly into the early 1950's . The F.L. Jacobs Company went out of business in 1953 . The machine is located in the Littleton , Colorado Area of Denver ( Zip 80124 ) and is available for "Local Pick Up Only" .
