Jacques Perille's French Registered Design CORKSCREW, the 'Maneville'A rare 'coffee grinder' style corkscrew designed and manufactured by Jacques Perille in Paris in the early 20th Century. Nickle plated steel with most of the plating intact. Some wear, expected with its age. Marked on the side arm: 'JP DEPOSE PARIS'. The JP looks like JHP, although it's argued that the H isn't part of the mark, but just a bar joining the J & P. The small handle is turned wood. The worm is missing its point, and slightly out of true at the last turn. Measures 5 7/8 inches from the top of the metal handle to the tip of the worm. Condition: 8/10, because of the worm. Rare and desireable nonetheless. Who will start the bidding at $499.00? This corkscrew is one of many corkscrews from a very large collection which will be offered in the near future.
