14 carat gold ladies wristwatch manufactured by one of the most prestigious watchmakers ever, Jaeger LeCoultre. This watch was a gift to my mother-in-law on her wedding day in 1954. I am therefore assuming it is from 1954 as she got it new. This watch is in very good overall condition. The case and dial present very well, it is running strongly and keeping time. It is signed on the case, dial and movement. Case : 14 carat gold, in very good condition with the expected marks from use over the years but absolutely no signs of abuse, dents or scratches of any significance that I could see to draw to your attention. The case measures approximately 18 mm across, excluding the crown and 27 mm in overall length. The outside of the case is hallmarked as 14K gold and the inside signed "LeCoultre". Dial: in great condition, signed "LeCoultre Swiss" and finished in satin silver. Gold coloured batons and dots mark the hours. The hands are in great shape and the crystal is clean and clear. Movement : high end Swiss, 17 jewel cal. K940/CW movement, signed “LeCoultre Co”, running well and keeping time. Bracelet : fitted with a corded Gemex cocktail bracelet, 1/20 12kt gold filled.
