C James Hatfield... by Jamie Elkins Taylor This is C. James (Jamie) Hatfield named due to the name being inside the military hat. This is my very first center seam. Yes I still have it from many many years ago. I recently had my photo taken with it for a magazine article and someone wanted it. I dressed it and she regretfully couldn't go through with the transaction due to illness. So instead of keeping him in the storage tub I thought I would put him up for sale. He is OOAK..my very first center seam from about 15 years ago. I don't remember when I made him. He's been hanging around and visiting with me. I love this old hump back bear and if you'd like to see more photos of him just send me your email address. That's the reason I marked him as used is due to the fact I've had him such a long time. I'm the designer of this bear and his original owner...has never left my hands. Jamie stands 22" and was created out of the finest Edinburgh antique gold sparse stringy mohair. The mohair I dream about..love this stuff! He is locknut jointed with hardboard discs. Stuffed heavy and then antiqued. He has shoe button eyes and a elaborate stitched nose. I worked for hours on the nose alone. I have never done another one like that..whew. I have since made hundreds of bears from this pattern..but never another mohair. There is too much money read more
