*~ Summer Moon Fairy ~*Through the ages, acorns have been given for luck, prosperity, and as a symbol of nature's abundance .*~ Summer Moon Fairy ~* Is a midsummer fairy acorn emery creation for 2016, hand sewn in palest green ultra suede and decorated with an original design executed in hand embroidery, depicting a silhouetted fair y resting on a mushroom surrounded by ivy vines and leaves and gazing at a full moon. T he acorn measures 1 1/2 " long, counting the cap, and1 1/8" across. It is firmly filled with crushed garnet mixed with wool.Janie's acorn emeries are used to sharpen and clean your needles and pins and make a pretty addition to a sewing basket or , they can be purely ornamental ~ each one is a tiny work of art.The acorn comes gift boxed and the artist's tag and label are included with date and signature.Condition: NewTo introduce the Artist ~I'm Janie Comito, designer, collector, artisan and appreciator of all things lovely and fanciful. Some like this one are old ideas that I've applied my own unique artistic spin to. (Acorns are a special favorite ~ I've been creating them since the '90s.) All my creations are meticulously hand sewn by me and come from my heart.
