Medium sized scroll.Six siddham characters of the mantra of VairocanaOm A Vi Ra Hum Kha (based on inference from website resources only. Potential buyers are to consult experts if in doubt of the correct reading) Calligraphy is very well written, perhaps by a Tendai or Shingon monk ( signature is not legible as it is written in a mix of siddham and cursive kanji) Item is undated but looks old (perhaps 1960s or even older?)Entire scroll is paper mounted.Some parts of the mounting ihas become loose/falling apart.Roller ends has signs of decay/damage.
