Three actual photographs 0f the devastation around the city of Fukui - the 1948 earthquake took an estimated 4000 lives and caused great destruction - the photos show a derailed train, the destroyed city of Fukui and a street scene - these were taken by a member of the Australian contingent of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF). Shipping and Handling charge: First Class Mail--for first lot-- $1.25 to U.S.A., $1.75 to Canada or $2.00 to foreign address. Additional lots (with same payment and in same shipment): 0.50 for U.S. addresses or 0.60 for others. We always try to use collectable stamps on the envelope. We will send an invoice, generally on Sunday evening for weekend sales, however all information needed to complete the transaction is contained in this listing.For shipments totaling $100 or more we recommend Registered Mail (additional charge of $11.50) or, for U.S. addresses, Certified Mail (additional charge of $2.80). Registered Mail provides protection to you the buyer (we cannot be responsible for lots once shipped--however, we have only rarely had losses, and the few we have had were generally to Asian or African addresses).
