JAPANESE ANTIQUE MEIJI PERIOD 1868-1912 CARVED OX BONE OKIMONO SIGNED, This japanese antique okimono is absolutely stunning, carved from a single piece of antique ox bone, The subject is a japanese man who looks like a snake charmer or maybe a street performer because he seems to be taming a vicious looking snake who is appering from under a large sea shell and about to strike with speed and power, The man is holding his right hand high above the snake and looks in full control and ready to make his move. This okimon is 100% authentic and made during the meiji period of japan 1868-1912, This piece has the signature seal of the artist on the base, Please look at all the photos very closely to see all the wonderful details of this superbley carved ox bone antique okimono. size 6cm x 5.5cm, condition good, but the tips of his fingers and thumb on his right hand appear to be missing, All in all a very nice antique ox bone okimono of a fantastic subject with stunning details and finely carved to a very high standerd.
