From my late mother's collection. She was an avid collector of Japanese antiques and woodblocks. There are some rare prints, and some decorative prints. Beautiful and rare print by a foremost artist of Japan in the 19th Century. Yoshitoshi is considered to be the last great woodblock artist, and is described as the most influential artist of Meiji Japan. This print is from his famous series "100 Aspects of The Moon.". Variously published by J. Stephenson in his book, similar in the Victoria and Albert collection and at the British Museum. This print is titled: Joganden Moon. Measurements 245mm X 365mm, or just about 9 1/2 '' X 14''. Condition overall is best described by photos. Some soiling and transfer staining, corners curling, as shown in photos below, but a beautiful art work by a great artist, visible woodgrain, good colours. Genuine article printed circa 1888, this beautiful print is 125 years old. Postage: several prints can be sent within UK for £16.00, in stiff cardboard. Single print, postage £10, as most of the weight is card. This is by Recorded Mail, insured as required. Same applies to international postage of prints, additional prints posted free in the same package, as long as it is sensible in terms of value, otherwise separate packets. I hope this print makes someone happy. If you have a question, kindly provide read more
