A fine & antique Japanese statue of an elephant attacked by 2 tigers. The ferocious duel seems having its balace tipped toward the larger beast, a belly up tiger is crushed under the elephant's front foot whilst he tries to shrug the other off his back. Excellent expressions & details in nice patina & natural grains, artist's mark on the elephant's belly. Wood stand included. • SIZE: 5.5"H x 7"W x 4 3/10"D, weighs 4lbs 5oz • CONDITION: Very good except a repaired break on the elephant's trunk.
