ANTIQUE LACQUERED FOUR LACQUER PLATES WITH FOLK CHARACTERS Listed is a set of 4 green lacquer plates with folk characters dipicted on them. TheseTaisho period (1912-1926) plates from the Kyoto area are well known for this style of artistry. They have a gorgeous lacquer with two samurain, musician with a cat and one beatiful women "bijin". The condition is good considering their age and vintage, t is some fading to the lacquer and a chip on one of the edges of the plate depictingthe samurai with two swords in his belt.
