CHIRIMEN is one of traditional Japanese textile. Please DON’T iron it by steam iron!! 　This is a Japanese CHIRIMEN fabric Furoshiki with UKIYOE design. The UKIYOE of this Furoshiki is ‘RENJISHI’. RENJISHI is the title of KABUKI play. REN means company and JISHI means lion. This play is about love of father to his son. White haired actor is the father and red haired is the son. It is said that lions push their children over off the cliff and test their children. Parent lions raise the children who climb up to the top. Parent lions don’t want to do that but it has to for the children to survive in the nature. You can use Furoshiki not only as wrap something but also use as a tapestry.
