He was a pupil of Goshun and he tried to duplicate every single painting of Goshun. With the taste f Nan-ga which Goshun learned from Yosa Buson, and the taste from Maruyama Okyo made Toyohiko good enough to founded the Shijo-ha. He also founded his private school and Shiokawa Bunrin, Shibata Zeshin, Tanaka Nikka were his students. His pseudonyms are Koson, Tangaku, etc... *Shibata Gito (1780~1819) : Shibata Gito was a Shijo-school painter,he was active in Kyoto city.Gito learned painting from Goshun,he was called as the best painter of the Goshun pupil.He was good at figure painting.
