Meiji Hirado Koro * Please don't ask me to falsify customs forms. * PayPal is the only form of payment accepted at this time, and payment must be made in 4 days. Length x Width - 3 3 ⁄ 4 x 2 3 ⁄ 8 Height - 4 1 ⁄ 4 inches Age - Meiji (1880 - 1900) Mark - None Condition - Good with only two thin kiln flaws on the top rim. See image # 7 on the rim just above each elephants head. Extra Information Pertinent to Hirado The glaze of this koro has a grayish green cast, and the elephants' and bird's eyes are black enamel (not hollow like the elephant ears). The underglaze blue has a purple tint in the lighter areas, and the painting and modeling are very precise and neat. It is heavily potted for such a small item (1 lb. 2 oz.), and does not sit perfectly on all four feet .
