Very nice Japanese NCO Katana Shin-Gunto Samarai sword, with NCO aluminum hilt, made to resemble the cloth wraped shin-gunto swords. This is a machine made sword, all original and the sword blade and scabbard serial numbers match, which is 19111. The sword is 36 1/2" long, with 27 1/2" blade, which appears to be full. The blade is nicely fullered, with bright original polish, with some light marks, appearing to be full or about full. Fine scalloped tsuba (guard). The tsukas (handle) is in fine condition, some paint missing, but no dents or dings, with arsenal marks on the copper collar. The lock for securing the scabbard works well. The metal scabbard is in good condition, with some paint loss, but nice clean appearance, with some light pitting at the chape. Overall-a very nice piece, freshly from the estate of a W.W. II Veteran, who brought it back from Japan after the War. Guaranteed to be authentic and original.Shipping cost to be determined, but estimated to be $25.00.
