Japanese officers sword. The sword is signed and dated. It has a surrender tag that was attached to the scabbard ring very loosely when I found this sword, but was afraid it would get ripped the way it was attached. It's original with this sword and comes with this auction. The blade has a 26 1/2 cutting edge. The scabbard had a leather combat cover that shows wear from war and age. It has the original handle snap which are typically long gone. the handle is tight and shows normal war wear. The blade shows an nice temper line resembling a flame. Very hard to show it the photos. It has the normal scuffs and scratches typical of these combat swords. There are couple nail catcher nicks but no rust. It has seen war use for sure. Overall a nice original war sword brought home by a Kansas veteran. No bids from bidders with less than 12 positive feedback without permission. I cant ship to all countries. International buyers must ask for a quote to see if I can ship to you. This is sold as is as found. Ask questions as needed. I have been asked some questions so I thought I would post. The surrender tag was not ripped or torn and has been carefully reattached to the scabbard ring as it was found. I tried to post a photo but could not add more photos.
