The wooden part is thickly lacquered and complimented by the difficult art of engraving all over the surface and overall design and motif is simply wabi-sabi as can be seen from its shine and luster. Due to age and usage, you can expect some history-related imperfection that can only stand to prove its notifiable historical value.
