Wonderfully detailed Hand Painted Yellow Japanese Meiji Taisho Period Satsuma Tea Pot adorned with a Karako Motif and lavish amounts of gold The Japanese term ‘karako’ refers to small Chinese children as they are portrayed in Japanese art. The is some wear of gold on spout and a small chip on the rim of the teapot under the lid which doesn't detract from the beauty of the piece.
