A beautiful and ornately done Japanese copper alloy plate, with four medallions of Japanese figures and scenes, measuring approximately 7 ins. in diameter, dating to the early to mid 20th century. The relief carving in the plate is exceptionally well done and has been enhanced by an ornate border and silver to highlight some areas. The plate is signed in an inlaid cartouche on the reverse:
