You are bidding on a Japanese sword. I do not know much about the history of this sword, but I will try to answer any questions you may have before bidding. Sword is not in pristine condition. For starters, t is a very, very slight bend approximately 9 inches from the tip, which I tried to show in the photos. Also, t appears to be some slight grind marks on the edge in several places, as well as some pitting near the tip of the blade. Temper line is evident the entire length of the blade, but not that prominent. Overall length of the sword is 34 3/4". Please ask any questions prior to bidding. Sword is sold as is. I reserve the right to end auction early, as sword is for sale locally. 1/21/07 - New pictures were added but because of the reflection they may not represent well.
