Japanese sword Bizen Sukesada. The blade is singed " Bizen koku ju Osafune Sukesada saku ". T are many genaration Sukesada in Bizen school and this is made by one of muromachi period (1550) Sukesada. The blade is in old new polish and in excellent condition. The temperline is nicely done gunome choji temper pattern with lots of nie active above the temper throughout the blade and has healthy temper at the point. The forging grain is well forged ko-mokume pattern and nothing loose grain. T is no forging flaws, no crack, no nicks, no bend and cutting edge is razor sharp. It measures 26 1/2" cutting edge and 39 1/2" in mountings. The mountings are pine bark finish lacquer scabbard and the handle is tight fit. The fuchi is syakudo nanako-ji fuchi with family crest andiron kashira. The tsuba is old forged iron tsuba with nice patina. It has folded silver habaki in good condition. Shipping is $15 priority in U.S and $40 overseas via Express mail and $1 per $100 insurance. Accept money order and cashers check.
