Hi. Do not be concerned with the zero-feedback on my wife's account. I am a well known collector/dealer and have sold over 100 swords on and off of E-bay. All my customers have been very pleased with the merchandise and my attention and responsibility to all details of any sale is always 100 percent integrity based. That being said I'll describe the sword. This wakizashi is in very nice mounts . The saya is gold flake over two tone black/brown. Perfect condition.Very nice leather ito and matching sageo in black. Good iron Namban tsuba too. Really, this is all about the perfectly signed Nobukuni blade. Yoshishige is a rare top-end smith from the shinto Chikuzen Nobukuni group. A famous Bizen revival group who forged very mean cutting blades with silky grainwork and very crisp hamon. This blade is very special because it has the traditional nioi-deki bizen style hamon and turnback but then it turns into a complete ,very intentional full-temper muneyaki on both sides in sweeping nie-deki with sunagashi clear back to the machi. These pictures don't begin to show the activity. The grainwork is outstanding and reflects the schools workmanship well. The blade looks like it's only seen one or two polishes and is very thick and healthy. All surfaces are supremely well groomed without any ripple. Just immaculate geometry. Very silky polish with great color. Other than the very mild kitae ware (pictured) t are no flaws at all. A perfect piece of work. The pics are not that great but be advised this blade in person is world class. The lenghth in mounts is 27.5" .Overall blade is 23.5". 17& 3/4" . Blade width is 1 & 1/8". Thickness is well over 1/4"...A scary beefy super healthy blade with no problems and signed ready for papering. The only other wakizashi I've seen on the market by Yoshishige were less interesting workmanship and were in the $6-6,500.00 price range. If you collect Chikuzen Nobukuni school 's your chance to own a rare one in mint condition by a hard to find smith. Ask all questions before bidding.( Serious inquiries will recieve my private E-mail and personal information). Money order is preferred, buyer pays shipping and best of luck with your bids! Sincerely Eric.
I WILL SHIP TO MOST COUNTRIES SO FOREIGN BUYERS ARE WELCOME AS ALWAYS! ERIC..
