This is Japanese sword wakizashi in shirasaya. The blade is unsigned, shinogi-zukuri shape wakizashi, Edo period Ca.1700 made. The blade is in old polish and in good condition. The temperline is wavy notare temper patter with nie active and has deep turn back temper at the point. The forging grain is tight ko-itame hada and shows tiny opning near the monouchi area but acceptable one (shows in the last photo). T is no bend, no nicks, no crack and the cutting edge is razor sharp. The blade is rested in ho-wood shirasaya with copper habaki. It measures 22" cutting edge, 1 3/8" width, 7mm thickness at the notch and 30" in shirasaya mountings. Shipping is $10 priority in U.S and $30 overseas via express mail. Accept pay pal, money order.
