This sword is in rough condition. There are no identifiable markings. The tang looks like it may have had a angle grinder taken to it. Also, there is a piece of electrical tape holding the Ray skin in place. This is the condition I received it in. A real shame but may be valuable to the right collector or project blade. There is no peg to hold the blade in the tsuka. I received this blade at an estate sale with it labeled as a WWII Japanese sword but I believe this to be pre-WWII. I am selling as is.I have been advised that this may not be a WWII sword. It may have been made prior to that period. Also, since the tang has had a grinder taken to it, there is no way to truly identify the origin and maker. I am selling the sword as is. Please be aware of these new developments as I was lucky enough to receive great information from a potential bidder.
