This auction is for a Japanese WWII era Hinomaru (national flag) set in its original box. The original corner reinforcements and tie strings are intact. The reinforcements are a little worn. The flag measures approximately 29" x 41". T are some stains and the white part of the flag has turned darker due to age. T are also a few small holes. The flag comes in its original box which also holds a gold ball that goes on the top of a flag staff and a set of red tassels. The gold paint on the ball has beginning to flake off and the tassels have faded a little. The red kanji on the lid of the box reads "Enactment National Flag", "1 Set", and the Mitsukoshi Department logo (circle) and kanji that reads "Made by Mitsukoshi Department". The box measures 10 1/4" x 5 1/4" x " and is in fairly good condition. All sales are final so if you have questions please email me prior to bidding. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ARE WELCOME.
