Jean Calogero Painting on Canvas I am not an art expert by any means. So, please read carefully. This is a painting on canvas signed Jean Calogero. I believe this to be a reproduction, but am not 100% sure. The reason I believe it is a reproduction is because there aren't as many brush strokes on the canvas as I would of thought would need to be. When the painting is held up to the light, you can see through the canvas. I purchased this at an antique store for a considerable sum, and they too couldn't verify if it was real or reproduction.Painting plus frame measures 30 1/2" x 26 1/2". There are some small chips on the edge of the frame. Also, there are two dark spots on the painting, as well as a barely noticeable "ding"...like someone took the end of a small pointed object and poked it lightly...not enough to break through the canvas.Please refer to photos.This is a GORGEOUS painting, and has been a conversation piece for a few years in our household. I have searched and cannot find this particular painting, so I do not know the name of it. If it is in fact real, your gain and my loss. However, I believe this is a fair price for a reproduction done this well.Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thank you for looking!
