Jean Claude Champagne Flutes Payment Shipping My eBay Store Champagne Flutes from The Sapphire Crystal Collection. Maker is Jean Claude ~ France. Exquisite stemware crafted of the finest full lead crystal, enhanced with 18 K gold vermeil, and set with genuine deep ocean blue faceted sapphires... These were presented by American Express as a limited edition set available to be purchased exclusively by American Express Card Holder Members. Purchased in 1987. When bought this set cost $990.00 plus shipping The delicate bowl of each is sparkling and clear - supported by a lavishly sculptured stem in the shape of a graceful swan. The swan is softly frosted for added contrast and appeal. Superb works of art, in the finest full lead (24%) crystal. The eye of the swan is inlaid with gold vermeil - sterling silver electroplated with gleaming 18K yellow gold. Then each is set by hand with a genuine faceted ocean blue sapphire, the perfect finishing touch. Handsomely presented in a custom chest of Teak so that your glasses can be properly stored and displayed. The deluxe wood case features a rich, hand rubbed teak finish with a sumptuous sapphire blue velvet interior to safely nestle the contents and enhance your enjoyment of the collection. T are some light waterstain marks on the lid of the box, but I think that applying a fresh teak oil will remove those and re-juvinate the wood. This is a rare item.
