Jean Pouyat JPL France Limoges Chocolate Pot / Set C&S Pink Rose Floral Design Gold Baskets & Accents This is the most beautiful example of JP Jean Pouyat Limoges from the late 18 to early 1900s that I have seen. This auction is for a chocolate set which includes covered chocolate pot, 4 demi cups and 5 saucers. It is a truly a lovely set. The hand painted floral design of pink roses with gold and pearl tone accents is simply breath taking. The painting is extremely well done in reference to design placement and color. The subtle shades of pink, blue and green with the intricate gold accents creates a masterpiece!!!!! Each piece is marked with "Mark 5" c. 1890-1932, an under glaze white ware mark in green of an underlined J.P. with a L. and the word FRANCE underneath. The chocolate pot also has a second marking, an incised cursive "N" or "M" The chocolate pot stands 11 inches tall and is in perfect condition with no breaks, chips or repairs. It's cover has a 2 small chips on the bottom of its lip and a chip on the front of the anchor(see pics). All four demi cups are in perfect condition with no breaks, chips or repairs. They stand 3 inches tall and measure 3 1/4 inches across from handle to rim. Each cup has its own individual design with a matching saucer.
