Jeannette Iridescent Floragold Compote Candy DishThis piece was made by Jeannette Glass, it is in the Baltimore Pear Design. It is hard to find this piece in this color and design! The floragold color looks beautiful in the light, it shines with a clear light amber color but many different colors can also be seen. The Baltimore Pear design consist of two pears on top of two leaves. The design raises up from the surface of the glass. This piece has the design covering on two sides of the base and twice on the lid in a smaller version. The base sits on an octangular shaped foot. The bowl of the base is narrower at the bottom and enlarges at the top. The base also has two ear like handles on the sides. The lid has a stair step design leading up to a finial top handle. It stands about 8" tall with the lid and is 12 3/4" around outside edge. Inside circumference is 3 1/2" and is 4" deep. This is a heavy piece that is very well made. It is in very good to excellent condition it has one very tiny chip on inside lip of the lid and also one very tiny chip on inside rim of the vase. This piece is exquisite and will look lovely in your home!! Please email any questions. Check out my other auctions for more great deals, I am happy to combine shipping when possible.
