Up for bid from Hand Sewn Leather :Condition: Both knife and sheath are new, never used. This set is a historically authentic replica of trade goods used with American Indians in the 1700 and 1800’s. It’s great for collectors and anyone who wants a hand made knife and sheath for a very reasonable price. These knives are sharp and they stay that way a long time. They are used by outdoorsmen all over the United States . I have field tested these knives and they simply cannot be beat for the price.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Knife specifics:These knives are hand made by my friend Jeff White. He is a full time maker who has been in the knife business for over 20 years. I sell his products for the same price he does, I simply try to sell sheaths with them. This is his standard English style patch knife, it measures 9 1/8 overall. Blade is 1095 high carbon steel, 5 1/4 inches long, 1 1/8 wide, and 3/32 thick. Handle is beautiful curly maple with a dark, hand rubbed stain and held to the full tang by 3 brass pins.Jeff leaves these knives with a dull finish across the back of the blade, this is proof that they were carefully heat treated in his shop. He sharpens the edge and polishes them about 1/3 of the way up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Sheath specifics:The sheath is hand sewn. I hand sew leather the old fashion way, one stitch at a time.
