Jefferson Medical College. A Course of Lectures on the Theory & Practice of Medicine by Dan. Drake MD. Philadelphia, November, 1830. This card is to Thomas Weirick (who became a doctor for years in Mahanoy City, Pa. Handwritten on back "For Mr. Thos. Weirick, D." Signed on front by Dr. Daniel Drake. Drake was a well know doctor at the time, if you don't already know. If you do a search for Daniel Drake Jefferson Medical College, you will get many sites with historical information. T is too much to write about this doctor. is one link that talks about Dr. Drake. T is about 18 pages written t about this man. T is alot to read about this interesting doctor. Abraham Lincoln wrote him in 1841 seeking treatment and was consulted by many well know people.
