DESCRIPTION You are bidding on a COMPLETE set of Jefferson Nickels from 1938-2002-P in a beautiful Dansco Album INCLUDING PROOFS AND WARTIME SILVER NICKELS . The Dansco Album itself retails for over $20. This album’s pages are housed in a simulated leather binding which is gold-stamped. The pages allow you to view both sides of the nickels by protecting it with acetate slides, which also allows you easy access to each coin.I have personally put this set together over the years, looking through hundreds of rolls and proof sets, picking out the best coins I could find. Most of these coins are uncirculated .T are a total of 175 nickels in this set, 32 of them are proofs, and the other 143 are regular business-strike nickels.This set includes ALL 11 of the wartime silver nickels , issued from 1942-45. During WWII, metal became a valuable commodity due to making supplies for ammunition and weapons, and the US Mint starting producing nickels made of silver to save the other alloy metals.This complete set includes the extremely rare and hard-to-find 1939-D, 1939-S, 1942-D and 1950-D nickels. These coins are the toughest and most valuable to acquire from this set, and they are all included!!! You will also receive ALL 32 PROOF COINS from 1971-2001. You can only acquire proof coins directly from the US Mint Proof Sets, and these coins are included in this wonderful set. The 1979-Type 2 proof nickel is, in my opinion, a Type 2, but I am not a coin expert and cannot be completely sure. These proof nickels all exhibit beautiful deep cameos. This is a complete set of every Jefferson nickel ever minted from 1938-2002-P, with many uncirculated coins. Rarely do you find a complete set with all the proofs like this. With the recently changed designs to the Jefferson Nickel in the past few years and for the future, these older and original coins will only increase in value.
