Here is an amazing addition for the vintage collector and a great opportunity to own a piece of European model train history... JEP Prewar O Gauge Electric Train Set with Steam Type Loco 120 w/autoreverse. This O gauge electric steam typeloco and tender was manufactured in Paris from 1935 to 1952 and is called the type 120. It was made by the model train manufacturer called Jep who was knownat the time for the quality of its locomotives with powerful motors. The loco is made of tinplate, is brown with brass handrails and has an internal light that illuminates the chimney and front opening. It uses a 20 volt screw type bulb (which needs replacing). The loco gets its power from the center rail using 2 pick-ups shown in photo #4 (20 volts AC from the transformer). It is powered by the powerful Bass-Volt motor. The loco has been tested and runs nicely. The direction of the loco can be controlled either manually with the sliding lever on the boiler top or automatically with the transformer and is achieved by quickly changing the speed of the train from fast to slow which causes the loco to reverse. This is called autoreverse (untested). The loco is 21 cm long and the is extended 14 cm by the tender.
