This auction is for a 1/2 Pint clear glass milk or cream bottle.

The bottle is printed in maroon lettering and logo: 1/2 Pint Please Return Bottles Jessup Milk Premium Quality since 1919 Roger Jessup Farms Reg CAL The logo is in a 1950s era atomic age style. The logo appears on back and front of the bottle. The bottle is square with a round base and neck. The bottle is also marked on the bottom with the numbers 23 and 65 on flanking an oval.

CONDITION: Very Good to Excellent. No chips or cracks. The printing on the bottle is complete on one side and on the other side has slight fading of the first few words.

JESSUP FARMS was owned by the Jessup family of Glendale California. They are part of the history of the Dairy Industry of Southern California.

Dr. Roger V. Jessup was a reknowned Veterinarian and Dairyman .

Before retirement, Dr. Roger V. Jessup practiced equine medicine for 18 years. Prior to that, Dr. Jessup was involved with Jessup Breeders, an artificial insemination business for cattle that he co-founded. Early in his career, he practiced at Jessup Farms, the family-owned dairy.

During the latter portion of his career, Dr. Jessup donated his time to the Sheriff and Police horse divisions and was a volunteer at the 1984 Olympic equestrian events held in Los Angeles.
