Lot of 14k Gold Jewelry - 102.6 Grams
Includes the following: 3 14k Gold Bracelets, all marked .585 and in perfect shape - very wearable fine jewelry Two Rings - One a solid 14 k band, the other contains a small blue topaz, both marked .585 The bracelets and rings weigh 77.6 Grams together (pictured) One locket, unmarked, but certified to be gold - may be a higher then 14k, which I think it is based on it's softness, but I can't guarantee it other then it is solid gold Locket weighs 4.9 Grams by itself One Gold Pocket Watch - Crystal Face detached and included in auction, but weight is without the crystal. This watch dates to the 19th century, and so is not marked. I guarantee that it is gold, but I'm not sure of the purity. The watch weighs 25.3 Grams by itself without the crystal face. I'm not a jeweler, so I don't know what the Blue Topaz is worth by itself All of these items were professionally appraised and certified to be solid gold from an estate. Penny in the picture is for size reference only. No returns on this auction due to the rapidly changing price of gold I wanted to add the following info from an appraisal (performed by White Orchid Antiques and Appraisals in Media, PA). The Gold Braided Bracelet weighs 10.9 DWT The Gold Serpentine Bracelet weighs 14.5 DWT The Gold Link Bracelet Weighs 18.6 DWT (my notation: 44 DWT on the bracelets total = 68.42 grams; based on today's gold price that's $1,800 in gold value on the bracelets alone @$45.12 a gram (*.5833 for 14k). Note that my picture of the gram weight for the bracelets includes the ring, also 14k solid gold, adding over $100 more in gold value. Back to the appraisal - Appraiser notes that one side of the locket is slightly crushed likely due to soft gold content - My opinion: this leads me further to believe that it is more pure then 14k Appraiser: Gold pocket watch by Remontoir. The watch dates to 1880. Condition of the case is poor. The watch is not in working order and the crystal needs repair. Me: I don't want to calculate the gold value of the watch simply because I don't know how much the case weighs by itself, but it is gold. This may also be worth more as a collector's item then for gold value, but I don't know anything about watches. Thanks for looking!
