German WW2 Extremely rare Jewish WW2 GHETTO yellow DAVID star patch with letter J worn in Belgium The German regimes in the occupied countries of Europe force Jews to wear an identifying mark under the threat of death. Jewish star as required to be worn by all Jews in Germany, Poland, Bohemia, and several other areas during WWII. In Germany it was yellow David star with word JUDE, in Holland JOOD, in France JUIF, in Yugoslavia letter Z - we have all of them. For your viewing is a rare WWII Jewish Ghetto star patch . Letter J means JEWS. There were several different types of stars, sometimes hand made. These stars must be wearing on all clothes by Jewish people in any GHETTOs in Belgium. The star is made out of a cotton, almost oil cloth type material. It has a rayon backing attached so that the star could be pinned to different articles of clothing. The item has a huge historian value ! This particular patch passed very important test - it does not glow under the black lamp (all fabrics after 1945 glow under the black light) - please look at the image (for compare I put on the last image the patch which glow under a black lamp).
