I found these newspaper in a Dallas Estate Sale. They were all folded in a box. It did not appear they had been taken out of the box for a long time. I am no historian however it apppears the papers are in pretty good shape considering they are almost 44 years old. I only handled the papers when I photographed them and inventoried the content. To me, it seems the Dallas Morning News papers are more delicate than the Dallas Times Herald papers. I do not have any reason to believe this is because they were opened more but because of the difference in the quality of the paper. After I photographed each edidtion I placed them unfolded with a sheet of Architect Vellum between each one. I then sandwiched the entire collection between two sheets of white foam board for support. I will not handle them again. I will transport them to UPS (touching only the foam board encasing them) and make sure they are packed as carefully as possible.
