OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY - buy a brick from 600 (formerly 602-604) Elsbeth, Dallas, Texas. It is the former residence of Lee Harvey Oswald, his wife Marina and baby June from November 1962 until March 1963, listed in the Warren Commission Report. Documentation indicates Lee Harvey Oswald ordered the gun that killed Officer Tippet while living at the property. Mahon Tobias, the landlord of the property when Lee Harvey Oswald lived there, was interviewed extensively by the Warren Commission and drew a map of the property and the location of the unit where Lee Harvey Oswald lived, pictured above.600, (formerly 602-604), Elsbeth, Dallas, Texas was built in 1925. Along with Lee Harvey Oswald, a number of Dallas founding family members lived there over the years. The property was always known as "The Gateway to Bishop Arts". The building had a brick facia comprised of "Atlanta Texas" brick produced by the Atlanta Texas brick company of Atlanta Texas, which discontinued business in the 1930's. The brown spots are actually minerals which existed naturally in the clay. The property was part of a well documented 6 year battle the owner, Jane Bryant, had with the City of Dallas to save it, which began when a developer wanted the property for a development and Ms. Bryant refused to sell.
