Each marble is annealed for 18 hours for durability. 1.58 inches in diameter.Boro is the same glass from which laboratory test tubes and beakers are made. It is a hard, tough glass known for it's resistance to thermal shock. These marbles will last centuries.Also check this glass artist's work:On Ebay search... The soft soda lime glass marbles from the early 1900's are still traded today - many of them in excellent condition.You are dealing directly with the craftsman. Marbles are signed 'JHA' and '16' (or the year made) with titanium pen.The photos are no match for holding one in your hand. Most of the imperfections seen in the photos are reflections from the flash or lights or surface dust. Every effort is made to make them round and free of surface problems. Because they are hand made, each is slightly out of round and may have pontil marks - the contact points of the glass rod holding it in the flame.If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please contact me.
