JHP Paris Vintage Seahorse Bakelite Brass Pin & Earring I am not a jewelry expert but did research these pieces to the best of my ability. These art deco pieces are exceptional and would make a wonderful addition to a costume jewelry collection, a seahorse collection or just to wear something beautiful and fun. I have left the pieces in exactly the condition I purchased them in. The brass has not been polished and shows it's original patina. The pieces are clearly marked JHP Paris, Made In France, and show all signs they are original including the fronts being screwed on and not glued. I have not tested these but all research I was able to do indicates to me they are true Bakelite pieces. The pin does work, it has a little cylinder that pulls down, you insert the pin and push it back up to hold it in place, very unique. The brooch measures 1 1/4"across and 1 1/2" high. The earrings measure 9/16" across and 1/2" high, they are clips. Please don't hesitate to ask questions. Insurance is required on this auction and I will ship this one internationally though I do not normally do that.
