12 1/2" Regal China Smiling BOXING DONKEY Gilbey's Scotch Whiskey Decanter Marked on the base: Creation of James B Beam Distilling Co. D-334-145-64, C Miller 1964, Genuine Regal China This is a fun find! 12 1/2" tall and in remarkably great condition for being 43 years old! The donkey is wearing a white tank top and red shorts with a blue stripe, brown boxing gloves and a top hat with red checkered plaid ribbon - the lid holds the cork. The label is still around the base and reads: 86 Proof, 100 months old, Gilbey's Spey Royal Scotch Whisky, Distilled and blended in Scotland, Imported and Bottled by Glen Spey Ltd Clermont KY, Established 1857 with a Dragon in a castle logo. T is also a round seal between the donkeys feet that reads "Genuine Regal China, Handcrafted". The decanter itself is in perfect condition ( and empty of course!), with only a spot on the red shorts that is missing paint - but it is smooth, so I'm not sure if that is supposed to be t NO CRAZING!! The only flaw is that the bottom half of the cork has broken off, but t is still enough t to hold the hat on as the lid. Fun find - especially with the election year coming up - fun Democrat item!
