Jim Bowie commemorative knife was designed by award winning knifemaker & two-term president of the knifemakers Guild. Dr. Fred Carter. The original won the "Best in Show" at the first Florida Art Knife Invitational in 1996. Gigand produced a replica of this knife using the original drawings of Dr. Carter. The blade is a heat treated stainless steel which has been black nickel plated and decorated with 24 karat gold scroll. A portrate of Jim Bowie has been laser cut into the steel of the blade. The handle has been triple polished and black nickel plated to allow for the addition of 24 karat gold scroll. It comes with a very nice display case and Discription folder. As you can see from the picture it is in like new condition
