Catfish Hunter This Rawlings Official American League Baseball (Bobby Brown, president) has been autographed on the sweet spot by star pitcher Jim "Catfish" Hunter in bold blue ball-point pen. The signature is guaranteed for life. This ball comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from PSA/DNA, the most recognized name in sports autograph authentication, and the ball has a tamper-proof, matching serial-numbered sticker B78711 applied by PSA as well. The photograph of the PSA Basic Cert is just an example, and may not be the one you will actually receive with the baseball. The autograph is a "10" , with him signing the ball "Jim Catfish Hunter" and the ball is Ex-Mint+, with note to a few small tone marks that keep the ball from grading Near Mint. James Augustus "Catfish" Hunter was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1987, and he died in 1999, a victim of Lou Gehrig's Disease. He played 15 seasons for the Kansas City and Oakland Athletics, and the New York Yankees. He was the 1974 AL Cy Young Award winner, and also pitched a perfect game. We recently acquired a terrific single-signed Hall of Fame baseball collection, and will be listing over 60 balls on eBay in the upcoming week. No reserve!
