For sale are 3 pieces of formula one racing memorabilia, regarding the Michael Schumacher of the 50's and 60's, the late Jim Clark. T is a 1st edition of the book "Portrait of a Great Driver", a hand written and signed 2 page letter to an aspiring young New Zealand driver "Wayne" who has asked Jim's advice, and a thank you notice from Jim's family, in response to Waynes' later letter of sympathy after Jim died. The letter begins "I understand you desire to become a Racing Driver. You have to start from the bottom and work your way up the ladder to get w I am today, and it will take a lot of nerve and money....." It goes on to say although t are opportunities in your country, the best thing to do would be to save up and go to England, and to look him up when he gets t, wishing him luck. The book is in excellent condition, the card and letter are good but have tape remnants across the top, and bottom (card only) w they were secured in a old frame.
