Please check out my 100% POSITIVE EBAY FEEDBACK and . (And please check out the other beautiful pots that I have on eBay.)You are bidding on a large museum quality vase by widely collected British master potter Jim Malone.DESCRIPTION: This exceptional pot was wheel thrown and then altered with two paddled sides that angle gently outward before retracting to meet a strongly turned foot ring. The latter nicely complements the pot's similarly sized wide rim that nicely overhangs a graceful, beautifully proportioned neck. The vase has a warm speckled gray glaze that is further adorned with broad hakame strokes- horizontal except for on the two paddled sides where they streak vertically. Here they provide the backdrop for deftly applied brown brushstroke decorations. This highly collectible master work stands 11 5/8" tall and measures just shy of 8" at its widest. It is in mint condition- no chips, cracks or repairs- and has the potter's impressed personal stamp as well as that of his Ainstable pottery on the exterior of the foot ring.ABOUT JIM MALONE: Jim Malone was born in Sheffield in 1946 and studied ceramics at Camberwell during the early 1970's. While at Camberwell he spent the summer of 1975 working with Ray Finch at the Winchcombe Pottery. In 1982 he moved to Cumbria primarily to join Mike Dodd at Cumbria College of Art in Carlisle
