Jim Shore Christmas Nativity Set :

This wonderful and highly detailed, complete Holy Family Nativity set--includes 13 pieces--titled: "Joy to the World, The Lord Has Come" is by artist Jim Shore. The carving on this 13 piece set is spectacular--amazing in multiple colors--with red, blue, green, ivory and gold accents. The pieces include: Joseph, Mary, and the new Baby Jesus; the 3 wisemen--titled: "Let Every Heart Prepare Him Room", a Shepard, donkey and sheep--titled: "Let Earth Receive Her King"; the little Drummer Boy, Camel and Palm Tree, plus the Creche. All are crafted with a vintage style and appearance, and the carving shows off the beautiful tapestry of textures on their robes! This is a wonderful gift and holiday item that can be a great reminder to share our Christmas spirit--and to remember the wonder and true meaning of the season! With a distinctly handcrafted look, Jim's creations are truly a soothing sight to see and are destined to become family favorites. This measures: the creche 12" tall x 14" x 6", Joseph 7" tall, Mary 5", Baby Jesus 2 1/2" x 3" x 2", Shepard 7" tall, the Drummer Boy 5 1/2", Palm Tree 10" x 6" in diameter, Camel 4" x 4" x 2", donkey 3" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/2", sheep 2" x 3" x 1 1/2", and the wisemen are 8" x 4" x 3 1/2". The pieces are made of Stone Resin and will provide many years of enjoyment. We have a nice variety of Jim Shore's Heartwood Creek Christmas series and are happy to combine shipping.

About the Artist: A native of South Carolina, Jim Shore utilizes his skills as a sculptor and folk artist to create his unique and creative collection for Enesco. His most popular collection, Heartwood Creek, combines home and garden décor to create a charming and innovative American folk art statement. A self-taught artist, Shore worked as an engineer before turning his full attention to art. He has painted in a variety of media, also perfecting his technique in silver and gold-smithing, wood carving, stained glass, furniture making and sculpting in stone.
